I use Nylog blue for all my flared joints on Mitsubishi mini split systems. I haven't had a leak yet and I have installed close to 15 units in the last 9 months or so. I put it on the face of the flare, the threads and on the back of the flare to help lubricate the flare nut as I'm tightening it.
